Bug in Switch View From Day to Week with FirstDayOfWeek is Saturday

I’d like to inform you that WebScheduler development team has managed to fix the issue. I also have ensure that the issue no longer persist using the nightly-build hotfix of WebScheduler 3. I’ve uploaded the nightly-build hotfix to be tested on your end. Please let us know whether the nightly-build hotfix helps or not.

Note:

*The nightly-build hotfix has not been extensively tested (disclaimer on). So, we are really appreciate if you have encountered an issue can kindly give us a feedback of it.

*Please carefully follow the step-by-step shown in this link, in order to apply the hotfix manually.

*Please close all opened Microsoft Visual Studio opened project during applying the hotfix.

*After finish apply the hotfix to your development machine, please don’t forget to apply this hotfix to your own project.

*It is recommended to do ‘iisreset’; clear ‘Temporary ASP.NET Files’ in “C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files” folder; and clear browser’s cache before re-test the issue using the hotfix.

I can see the problem in your video. Please take a look at the end of the movie. You are in week 25 Feb to 2 Mar. But the date is shown Tuesday, 19 Feb, 2008 - Sunday, March 02, 2008.

I was unable to repro the issue on my end.
I enclosed the latest build of WebScheduler that I currently use on my end as attachment.

Hi Yudi,

I've just donwload new hotfix for this issue. It is very funny that the problem did not happen in Sunday anymore but now come to the First Day of Week (For example: I set FirstDayOfWeek=Monday then click on Monday and click back to Week View rasing the issue).

The event now display correctly, but the date display near the "Back", "Forward" button is incorrect. Its shown that we are in 2 week inspite of 1.

I was able to repro the minor glitch with ‘FirstDayOfWeek.aspx’ WebScheduler reference sample file by following the step-by-step instruction.

A work item, #650, has been submitted to WebScheduler development team regarding this. WebScheduler development team will fix this and the fix should be available in the upcoming release of hotfix. I’ll keep you updated when the hotfix is ready.

Hi Intersoft,

I found this problem in WebSchedule 3.0.1000.2. It happens when we set FirstDayOfWeek to Saturday.

(<CalendarSettings FirstDayOfWeek="Saturday" />).

Follow this step and the event disappear :
1. Click on Week to see event in Week View mode. (See attach pic1.jpg)
2. Click on Sunday button to go to Day View (Sunday day). (See attach pic2.jpg)
3. Click on Week to change back to Week View mode. (See attach pic3.jpg)
4. All event in this Week disappear.
Note:
- I used DefaultStyle_Blue.aspx page in your WebScheduler Sample to demonstrate this bug.
- It only happen when click on Sunday, other day worked fine.

Pls help me work around this problem and fix this bug asap.
