I changed it to: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN" >

It is better now. -- this cuase some style, like font... failed.

Hello David,

Do you have any working sample that replicates your issue?

Have you set the DocumentMode to Quirks mode in your browser.

The issue doesn't occur on my end. I'm using IE9, but when I run the project, I change the browser mode to IE8 and DocumentMode to IE8 standards or quirks mode.

We got the this aligment issue (IE7 + IE8).

Please see the picture.

Any suggestion?
