Hello,

For the first issue (UXRibbonApplicationMenu.png), the developer will try to fix the issue. However, I can’t provide you the exact time when this issue will be fixed, because now we are focusing on the next release.
I will let you now, if there is an update regarding this issue.

As far I know, basically Silverlight and WPF have a different default behavior. So sometimes we need a different code or treatment while handling Silverlight and WPF.

Hi Hans,

I'm more concerned about the first issue (not excluding that the second is indeed an issue too) and only would like to know if it will be fixed or not, I don't have a deadline yet.
I understand that is a limitation of WPF itself, and it works without any issue with Silverlight, but since we develop in WPF and Microsoft remains silence about Silverlight future..

I am sorry, but the developer team still considering whether this issue will be fixed or not, because of several reason.

The first consideration is like I said in my prior post. This issue occurs due to limitation of WPF itself. So perhaps we would need more time to fix this issue and we still can’t ensure the exact time when this issue will be fixed.
The second, as far I know, this scenario is very rarely applied by users. Commonly, user doesn’t showing the dropdown while window application doesn’t fully shown in the screen.

Could you inform me the urgency / deadline of your project that related with this issue?

The way you tried to reproduce the issue is not correct. Perhaps, my explanation wasn't well elaborated, so I also created a video showing the steps to reproduce the issue.

Thank you for your reply.

I tried to reproduce your issue with WPF – Ribbon Application sample on my end.
I try to show the File dropdown then drag the app window to the right of the screen. But unfortunately I can’t replicate your issue on my end.

I attached the video about how I try to reproduce your issue.

Regarding points:

1) Thanks for the update. Please, update this Thread when the issue is fixed.
2) The resize issue seems to be fixed, however, when you drag the window off the limits of the Screen, it is shown incorrectly.

Take a look at the image in order to understand what I'm saying.

To reproduce, simply drag the app window to the right of the screen, only showing like half of the app window, then click on the menu.

Thank you for waiting.

1) First issue, the File dropdown menu doesn’t fill entire WPF window after we maximize the WPF window, like shown in UXRibbonApplicationMenu.png.

We still can’t fix this issue, due to WPF limitation itself. So it will take more time, to fix this issue.

2) Second issue, the File dropdown menu doesn’t render properly after we resize the WPF window, like shown in UXRibbonApplicationMenu-2.png.

This issue is has been fixed. You can the hotfix through Update Manager Application.

Hi,

I've been looking around at the Ribbon Application Sample in WPF, and noticed that at full screen the UXRibbonApplicationMenu doesn't resize properly.

In lower screen resolutions it displays properly without any problem. But with a 1920x1080 resolution the size is smaller and doesn't fit the whole area.

The problem is represented in the screenshot named UXRibbonApplicationMenu.

Also, it behaves wrongly in certain circunstances as shown in UXRibbonApplicationMenu-2.

Last but not least, it seems the width of the ribbon is limited, is this by default?
