&lt;p&gt;negative numbers should be formatted like "(123)" instead of "-123", and &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;zeros should be "-" rather than "0".&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I've tried the dataformatstring = "$#,##0.00;($#,##0.00);-" but that doesn't seem to work.  Do you have any suggestions?&lt;/p&gt;
