I decided to use webflypostbackmanager to achieve my goal instead.

Does it mean that you have a textEditor as an iFrame? I am having a problem to do your scenario. Is is possible to provide me with a simple running sample that replicate the issue of yours?

I have the following scenario:

1. User opens a template in WebTextEditor (which is in an iFrame).

2. User edits the template and saves the changes (using the build-in save button which calls a CodeBehind function).

3. Instead of saving the changes to the actual template I instead create a new template which includes the changes.

4. I now need to return the ID of the new template to a javascript function so that I can update my WebTreeView (which is on the main page). Alternatively a full post-pack where I can set a ClientScript on StartUp would do.

Is step 4 possible with WebTextEditor?

Regards,
