The property you mention, RestoreExpandedChildRows, will only persist the state of the a Child table in a hierarchical Webgrid.

Maitain the Expand/Collapsed state of self referencing hirechical grid

Hello,

By default, we are displaying entire self referencing nodes of grid as expanded. Now, Assume that user have toggled the Expand/Collapsed state of few self referencing tree nodes inside the grid. We need to maintain the updated Expand/Collapsed state of those self referencing nodes after the post back of the page.

We have tried the following settings to maintain the state. It did not work with the self referencing hierarchical webgrid.

[Instance of webGrid].LayoutSettings.RestoreExpandedChildRows = true;

Can anyone solve this problem? Waiting for the positive reply
