Hi Martin,

I am facing the same issue while deploying the project. But the problem is that I have other controls like WebGrid, WebTab in the same page. And when I apply the XHTML, the whole page distorts.

I can't change the page now. I have WebCalendar in a pop up as well. So, is there any other solution for this?

I have discussed with the developer team regarding your issue.

WebEssentials including WebExpander and WebAccording supports XHTML DocType.

Could you tell me what controls do you intend to use in the same page?

Hello Kenny,

I will need to discuss with the developer team regarding DocType issue on WebEssentials product.

However, I didn't find any issue when using WebToolbar in a page that uses XHTML DocType. I believe most of our controls have supported XHTML DocType.

Dear,

I found that when I use WebExpander with the following declaration, it rendered incorrectly.

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

Once I change the declaration to

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

The rendering is correct.

The problem is some of your controls like the webToolbar required to use the HTML 4.0 declaration, it's giving me problem in using these controls in the same page. Any suggestion?

I think that the WebAccordion is also having this problem.
